185/366: alan

This picture is incredibly hilarious to my brother and I.... because he took it and he claims that my facial expression is somewhat similar to one of the trollface expression!

Daddy's birthday today.
Dimsum in a big restaurant with only us as customers (pretty cool).
Dinner at home with champagne which I could only stand a sip (ha).
RT Cheesecake with an extremely rich cheesy taste.

all these but most memorably:

Laughter and inside jokes that only my family understands.

:')

Grateful.

139/366: grooming

So this is how HappyG looks when he is enjoying a car ride.

We brought him for his first grooming ever!

This is the before picture. No after picture sorry, heh.
He came home smelling the best he could ever smell. And being the most handsome dog in the neighbourhood !

Seriously, all dogs barks at him and he never barks at them when they do. I smell jealousy.

135/366: bone

I don't know what I would be without him.
Through taking care of him I have learned things that I'll never learn elsewhere.

Gave him this bone today and he was munching it like it's the most important thing he has to do!

I recorded a video too!

Constantly reminded that as a human being, I have my family, loads of friends and people I can mingle around with. But for my dog (and all dogs), we're literally all that they have.

& to prevent my dog from being sad/get cranky/furious..... am trying my best to walk him everyday despite laziness, moodiness or busyness. & hopefully all you dog owners do the same!

Truth is, they probably love us more than we can ever love them back. We owe them love.

85/366: lorax

Went to church in the morning with family, then went to look at some houses with mummy.

Came home to rest, then me and my brothers went to catch The Lorax @ Summit ! :D

Yes, it's a cartoon. But don't we all have that longing or liking to watch cartoon occasionally? :P

One major attraction I was drawn to watch the movie was that Taylor Swift voiced one of their main characters! Heh. My youngest brother wants to watch it so much too. The movie's filled with some moral values, and basically the whole colors and animation is just pretty to me. Cute and funny moments too.

Check the trailer here, the last part's the FUNNIEST.

& besides watching The Lorax, we spent random moments eating dinner, playing at the arcade (boys, *cough*), hanging at Mr. D.I.Y. and other random stores ! Yes yes I couldn't resist and I bought the flower above at Mr D.I.Y. ! :D Only when I came home I realize it's meaningful as it's like matching to the movie !!!

First movie watched in the cinema today (I'm shocked too), and loved today, really.

70/366: chop

Daddy chopping chicken.
This picture reminds me of my grandmother telling me random stories like her, being instructed to cook chicken by her mum in the past.

In those days she had to buy/catch the chicken herself, pluck all the feathers, cut the chicken.. then only the cooking process starts !

Such a tedious process...... society has really advanced.

The chopping board above was handmade by my late grandfather.. to realize that he was really skilled in making simple wood objects. We have some wooden stools and ladders made by him too.

Inspiring grandparents... are inspiring.

67/366: grand

She's my only 'grand' left.

Don't you just think that old people are inspiring sometimes?

Most (or some) of their nagging actually makes sense, and intend to help us.

Grateful that she's staying with my fam for 1 week or so, she pushes me to do the house chores that I hate succumbing to procrastination.

Double sweeping + double mopping my house's downstairs floor took 2hours45 minutes ! Ahhh.

28/366: creativity

Such a cute and creative thing to do right ?
Hehe. My youngest brother did it with the leftover Arrowhead (ngaku) !

In fact he even did a whole series of words linked with it ! Hahaha.

His creativity amazes me.
I have so much hope for this generation, really. Would you believe in the little ones too?

22/366: reunion

This year's Chinese New Year reunion dinner was different.

For the first time in my 19 years of existence, we went out to a restaurant to celebrate, instead of staying home and enjoying tons of home cook delicacies.

The absence of my late grandfather (for the first time ever) during Chinese New Year really makes a difference.

I miss him. I miss him so much.

But nevertheless, I know he's in a better place, and that he shall always, always be remembered in every of our Chinese New Year reunion dinners :')

Happy Chinese New Year ! May 2012 be a prosperous, healthy, and huat year indeed !

2/366: pets

2012, a resolution is to take care, cherish and love my pets more.

My happy old dog, HappyG!

Random story:
As a kid, I used to long for a dog. My parents would not buy me any, so one day I wrote a letter to Jesus(funny right?), asking Him to please give me a dog for free! I even drew a picture of myself, my house and a dog in it.

Many years passed, I had a Labrador retriever, a shih-tzu mix, a pariah, and now a golden retriever ! Amazing ay? The most amazing part is that they were all FREE, gifts from our neighbour, my mum's friends, and my friend! Wee.

HAPPY 2ND DAY OF 2012 !
